Funny how you think/believe that some people are close friends of yours; however, the moment one thing comes up, then they stop talking to you. This is where the category of "temporary good friend" comes in. In my terms, 'temporary good friend" is someone who you share "meaningful" moments with for a short while, and who is not truly a good friend. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying temporary good friends are fake (well, everyone is fake); unlike a permanent good friend, a temporary good friend is not there to greet you everyday. A temporary good friend is someone who can enjoy a fun moment with you, but int he long run their importance to you will be the size of a peanut compared to a true friend's. A true friend is the one who you can talk to after 4 months/years/decades of not seeing each other, and never experience an awkward moment. I honestly think that this type of friendship can only be achieved if you and the other person share an emotional moment; nevertheless, chemistry can always do wonders if there are no emotional moments.
It's okay to have temporary good friends! But if they never open up to you, or stop talking to you after a stupid incident, then there is no way they can become a true good friend.
What do ya think?
